Mobility Seminar – Saturday

Posted on Wednesday, 22nd February, 2012

On February 25, Dr. Nate Hinkeldey from Team Chiropractic and Rehabilitation will be available before and after the workout in order to field questions about injuries and offer evaluation and  cutting edge soft tissue treatment to all in attendance. Injuries and lack of improvement can   result from improper joint position and lack of proper muscle length. Simple screening procedures can assist in evaluating this lack of muscle length and identify  areas of weakness in order to assist your current injury or prevent others from happening. Dr. Nate’s interest with CrossFit began after identifying poor shoulder position in a couple athletes working out at CrossFit. Following two treatments, they increased their personal records in the clean and snatch by 15 pounds.

Dr. Nate enjoys working with injured soldiers, athletes, and other patients and assisting in   increasing their function and preventing injury. Before opening his practice in Johnston, Nate worked at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. During his time there, he worked within the chiropractic department three days a week and rotated with other health departments during the other two days. Nate also worked with the U.S. Naval Academy Sports Medicine Team while he was  residing in Washington D.C. This experience illustrated how all health professionals working together as TEAM resulted in a higher standard of care and increased the recovery rate of the injured soldiers.

Dr. Nate brings a unique approach to health and injury care. He is trained in manual manipulation, soft tissue (Graston Technique), and rehabilitation techniques  that are currently being utilized by his mentors who treat everyone from Olympics athletes to  the weekend warrior. Nate   believes that utilizing the combination of the latter techniques will result in a quicker return to function. By adding rehab and exercise to the treatment routine, patients will be able to assist in their recovery and need less frequent care.

When: Saturday, February 25

Time: 8:00—10:30

Purpose:  We want to be available to answer your questions regarding a  current injury that you may be dealing with or help to prevent those injuries from happening. It is also our intent to provide you with a unique outlook and introduce you to some therapies that you may not be familiar with.

As the cost of healthcare continues to soar, it is important that you are all familiar with some low cost interventions that are extremely effective at reducing pain, improving function, and avoiding injury.
