Commitment
We have had great attendance in all of our classes thus far in 2012. To me this shows the dedication of the CrossFit Des Moines/Waukee athletes.
Even when the gym is full the Coaches are witnessing athletes overcome the tangible things like space and focusing on those intangibles like perseverance, focused training, intensity, and most of all camaraderie.
Keep up the strong work guys. As CrossFit Des Moines/ Waukee has always done, we will ensure that the quality of training only gets better each and every day.
Lets Give a shout out to the Coaches for doing a Great job managing all the Classes and Delivering great workouts day in and day out!

Congrats to Coach Cheetah (Kelli) for herding the cats last night. As I look at this picture, I can see people engaged in four different types of WODs and finishers! Truly amazing.
We weren’t even waiting for the rowing machines since Kelli kept us all moving. Granted, about the third round I wouldn’t have minded waiting too much
Thanks Bob!
I am so happy to see our classes grow and everybody working together to make it a productive enviorment. Keep up the good work everybody!
Wow! for some reason the early a.m. team is never quite that large, but we are growing. Tip of the cap to Q for running the WODs as a smooth well oiled machine – thanks Q. JK
That picture looks like the circus that was 5:15 this morning, and God bless Q a thousand times over for organizing our mass chaos…and please note, we can seem like mass chaos when there’s only four of us
I think sometimes we’re still half asleep and disoriented, which generally means having to repeat directions 9,000 times, answer the same question 14 times, and deal with aches, moans, and whining while we try to wake up our bodies and minds. Q’s patience is truly amazing! Hats off to him!
Jason,
Fully extend/open your hips before you start pulling the weight with your arms.
Good eye, James. And, throughout this WOD, I kept remembering that same advice that you gave me several months ago.
Don’t forget about all the AI kids on the other side of the room. The place gets CRAZY at night.
Thanks to all of our wonderful coaches — not one dud in the bunch. You’ve inspired me to do what I never believed I could.
To (my) coach, Kelli, I owe you BIG TIME. You’re awesome. Today is my 1-year anniversary at CFDM and I’m feeling a bit …. amazed. And thankful.
Congratulations Lisa on your 1 year anniversary!
Happy Anniversary, Lisa! Your tenacity in an inspiration to us all.
Congrats Lisa! It has been an honor to be your coach and see the transformations you have made in the last year! I am so proud of you. I remember the first night you came to CFDM. Your only goal was to keep moving. Now look at you pulling all the weight that you are. You have been and are an inspiration to us all. Keep up the good work!!!
Happy Anniversary Lisa! I am SO THRILLED for you! You have come such a long way.
While your body transformation has been AMAZING, let me remind you of a few words you said to me during Elements one yr ago:
1) I’ve never stuck with an exercise program.
2) Does anyone ever REALLY like working out?
3) These class times are going to be difficult to make for me…
4) I have a bad knee, I don’t think CF will work for me…
I am more thankful for the transformation of your MIND. Here are a few words I’ve heard you say throughout the past year:
1) That was a PR for me! 20# more than my last lift!
2) My pants are too big…
3) The drs aren’t even putting me on the “normal” recovery routine. They say I’m in better shape than most of the cardiac rehab paitients they see.
4) Charles better get his butt in here (ok, that was me I guess…)
Be very happy! Celebrate this year – life changing for you Lisa! Congrats!
I’m a little behind, trying to chat up on all the news after vacation, but I definitely want to thank all the coaches for motivating us every day and for trying to get us to use proper technique – even when we get tired!!
Thanks Kelli and Rita for keeping the evening classes going and to Amy and Mike who get to see me earlier in the day once in a great while!!
Especially want to thank coach Kelli for creating all those lovely WOD’s for us – that has to be quite a bit of work!!
And congrats on your 1 year CFDM anniversary Lisa!! I can’t believe it’s been a year for you already.
