29:44 RX’d for The Filthy Fifty. Almost 4 minutes faster than my previous time. I felt like I could have gone a little faster but I was fighting back the vomit half way through the wall balls. “To puke or not to puke?” That is the question of the day.
29:49 as RxD * jump tucks – no du’s yet (tried 3 – 4 times couldn’t make it happen).
Thankfully i did not have to do round two – the gym was exceptionally well represented by all the noon athletes and some fire breathing guests from the normal a.m. crew. Great work everyone – it is always motivating to watch people pouring it out and leaving nothing left in the tank.
On a separate note – Great work this a.m. Craig – since i was doing wall balls right next to you i’m glad it was, “not to puke.”

That was brutal-and I only did The Filthy 25!!! But it’s JUST what I need to get me in shape….so bitter sweet
Jered – Being a former college athlete, I didn’t think I was that ‘out-of-shape’ when I started but I had a visit for Pukey the Clown from basically doing situps and some other exercises that I don’t care to remember. Just keep working hard and pushing yourself to your limit and you will be utterly amazed at the transformation both physically and mentally.

26:36- thirty one seconds slower than last time, but this time I did DU. When you can only muster four at a time, its a time killer. Couldn’t find a rhythm on K2E today- it was driving me crazy. Both of those need improvements before the next time we do this WOD!
25:28 – gained a little over 5 minutes from last time…. the burpees got me.
Nice work today everyone! That was so awesome to see the turn out at noon! Coach Mike- I think the channel 13 viewers will be very impressed with your gym and what you offer.
Did the Channel 13 crew give any sort of indication as to when the segment would air?

Filthy Fifty: 32:00 as Rxd. 3+ min faster than last time I think. 20lb wall balls are terrible!!! And of course burpees after wall balls are even worse

43 minutes or so I think. 5 minutes slower than last time. I’m sure I spent more time standing around than actually doing the excercises. I don’t think the bowl of Rice Krispies for dinner Sunday night did me any favors this morning. Sara B – you did teach me better than that. Obviously not fueling food.

Thank you all very much for the great support today. I think we were able to show Des Moines that there is something out there that actually makes us fit and ready for whatever life throws our way. We are all athltetes and LIFE is our sport.
33:15 – about a minute slower than last time despite wind assists (15# barbells instead of 45# bar for push presses, 14# WB). Replacing 50 knees to elbows w/ 100 knees to L-Sit bars may have slowed me moderately – having an MRI in the morning may have affected me, too. Mostly, I’m probably just worthless and weak.
